Online Giving

You can give to Saint Benedict right here on our website by filling in the form below. Our online system is powered by Stripe, who also handles online transactions for Amazon, Google, and Expedia. Stripe is regularly audited and currently has the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. It’s safe, secure, and easy!

When you go to our secure giving portal, you’ll be asked for some basic contact information so we can provide you with a tax receipt at year-end.

There are a variety of ways to give to Saint Benedict Parish. We try to provide as many options as possible so we can help our members give in the way that works best for them. If you have any questions about the ways to give, please email our Manager of Finance, Chris Yetman: [email protected].

Interac e-Transfer

Just like you might send money from your online banking account to a friend of a family member, you can give to the parish! Unlike typical e-Transfers, sending money to the parish doesn’t require a password; you can simply list the recipient as [email protected], and the money will automatically be deposited. If you want a tax receipt, be sure to indicate your name and address in the ‘message’ field of your e-Transfer.

Automatic Giving (formerly PAR)

Automatic Giving (formerly known as Pre-Authorized Remittance, or PAR) allows members to give by setting up an automatic withdrawal from their bank account on a regular basis. You can click here to download the form the sign up for Automatic Giving, which you can send to the parish via email or by mailing it. Be sure to include a void cheque.

Envelopes

If you give to the parish using envelopes, you can put them in the basket at Mass, or you can drop them off using the slot by the doors on the lower level. The drop-off box is locked and well-secured, so you can rest assured that your offering will be received by the parish. You may also consider signing up for Automatic Giving instead.

Cash

You can always give with cash in person on the weekend! And if your kids have some cash, they can take it up to the Little Church at the front of the sanctuary to help support our parish’s sponsor children.

Other Ways To Give

Corporate Matching: Matching gifts are when companies match donations that their employees make to charities. When an employee makes a charitable donation, they’ll request a matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation. Companies usually make a donation on a 1:1 ratio, but some will double, triple, or even quadruple your donation. For more information, email our finance manager:  [email protected].

Stocks and Mutual Funds, Legacy Giving, and more: If you want to include the parish in your will, or if you want to give stock as a gift to the parish, you can email our finance manager for more information:  [email protected].
