Patience in Suffering

Be patient, therefore, beloved, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.

Say Together:

“Be patient until the Lord’s coming. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord's coming is near.”

Talk about:

Do you think you are good at being patient? How can you find strength from God even when you feel like you’re waiting for something good to happen again?

Pray:

Jesus Christ, you were the great light promised by the prophets! We raise our voices in prayer as we say Come, Lord Jesus! In the beginning you created all things and in the fullness of time you come and deliver us from death. Bring light into our darkness and tell us of God’s loving kindness.
Amen.
