The Encounter exists so that kids in grades 5 & 6 will love God, discover their identity in Him, and find their community at Church. For this age group to feel welcome at our church, they need to be affirmed as they grow. The Encounter team provides opportunity for this and will help them own their faith and value a faith community. To serve here, adults must have a willingness to be relational with kids in grade 5 & 6, and for everything else, team members will be coached and guided by the ministry's leader. The time commitment is weekly, Thursday evenings from 6pm - 8pm, as well as a meeting every two months to invest in the team. Team members are adults only and require a criminal record check.
